Ontario Mennonite Music Camp (OMMC) is a place where youth (finishing grades 6-11 for camp, and finishing grades 11 & 12 for LIT program) develop and enrich relationships, faith, musicality, and leadership in a fun and supportive summer camp environment. The Mennonite Historical Society of Ontario, along with the Ontario Heritage Trust, will unveil a commemorative plaque to be placed at the site of the Montreal River Alternative Service camp (just north of Sault Ste. Marie). Canada's Alternative Service program ran from 1941-1946, with over 10,000 participants, many of them Mennonite.
