Conrad Grebel University College at the University of Waterloo is pleased to be offering a new course titled “Refugees and Forced Migration” in Winter 2016. This course will assist students in understanding and responding to the current global refugee crisis.

Adding to this concentration of ideas and change, the MSCU Center for Peace Advancement (CPA) is joining Waterloo’s innovation ecosystem with the launch of the Frank and Helen Epp Peace Incubator.

Sound continues to fill the halls over the spring term in the University of Waterloo’s Department of Music, housed at Conrad Grebel University College. This summer, there were several courses and numerous studio lessons taught, along with many ensemble rehearsals and concerts. The end of August is also a time when Grebel hosts Ontario Mennonite Music Camp which also brings energy and creativity to the halls of Grebel.

The Ripple Effect of Peace Camp: Small actions with big impact
WATERLOO, ON -- Plans are underway at Conrad Grebel University College to host a Global Mennonite Peacebuilding Conference and Festival on June 9-12, 2016. In addition to academic papers, workshops, and networking opportunities, the event is intended to be a festival that will include art, drama, and music on the campus of this Canadian Mennonite College.
More than twenty choristers with ties, past and present, to Conrad Grebel University College’s Music program joined a cast of nearly 1000 for the Luminato Festival’s epic production of R. Murray Schafer’s Apocalypsis at Toronto’s Sony Centre on June 26-28.
Thanks to a partnership with Ziauddin Yousafzai, the father of 2014 Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, Global Peace Centre Canada (GPCC), and the Women’s Executive Network (WXN), Conrad Grebel University College is pleased to offer a $10,000 scholarship to a female Master of Peace and Conflict Studies (MPACS) student.
