The FIRST Robotics Competition Waterloo Regional Competition is held each year at the University of Waterloo in March. In 2015 — the 11th year of the Waterloo Regional — 32 teams will compete at Waterloo for a chance to go to St. Louis and compete in the FIRST Robotics World Championships.
Note: Schedule varies from year-to-year. The 2015 schedule will be released once it has been finalized.
Sriram Narasimhan, Canada Research Chair in Smart Infrastructure and professor cross-appointed to the departments of civil and environmental engineering and mechanical and mechatronics engineering, is the recipient of $100,000 in funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI).
