Ten Student Teams Battle It Out For $60k In Prize Money at the Esch Pitch Competition

Watch as 10 outstanding Capstone teams pitch to win one of six $10,000 prizes. These teams were shortlisted from over 50 entries representing most programs in the Faculty of Engineering. The Esch Awards support creative and entrepreneurial students in the pursuit of research and development and its commercialization for the benefit of Canada.

University of Waterloo Virtual Conference on Aging, COVID-19 and the Adoption of Health Technology

Hosted by the School of Public Health and Health Systems (SPHHS), Network for Aging Research (NAR), and the Centre for Bioengineering and Biotechnology (CBB), this free virtual event will take place over two afternoons and examine the promise and limits of technology to promote successful longevity by featuring a diverse group of leaders.

Global Spark Thought Leader Panel: Innovation in Global Health

We’re extremely excited to invite students to this year’s Global Spark Thought Leader Panel: Innovation in Global Health.

The panel will be held on March 6th at 11am EST, and will feature three phenomenal speakers:  Dr. Andrew Trister, Head of Digital Health Innovation at The Gates Foundation, Jim Larson, Managing Director & Partner and Expert on Global Health at BCG, and Maureen Lewis, the CEO of Aceso Global and the former Chief Economist of Human Development at the World Bank. The panel will be moderated by Natasha Walji, a Director at Google Canada and one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women.
