Waterloo Engineering Alumni After-Work Reception at Matrix Solutions in Calgary

Join us for an after-work networking reception at Matrix Solutions to connect and network with local Waterloo Engineering alumni and co-op students in Calgary. Hear a brief update about the Faculty of Engineering and the latest changes on campus including a look at the newest engineering building on campus: Engineering 7. 

Our alumni guest speaker at this reception is Robert Pockar (MSc 1997), President and CEO at Matrix Solutions.

Rob Pockar has extensive experience as an environmental consultant in the oil and gas industry, including environmental liability assessment and remediation, water resources engineering, and environmental impact assessments to support project design and regulatory approval. Rob joined Matrix in 1993 and has grown with the company through a succession of more senior appointments and responsibilities. Rob has served as President and CEO of Matrix since 2008 and provides ongoing executive leadership and strategic vision to the organization.

Rob is a professional engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Alberta and a Master of Science degree in earth science from the University of Waterloo.

In 2010 Rob was the recipient of the Young Alumni Award from the Faculty of Science of the University of Waterloo. This award was in recognition of the professional achievement and contributions to the community in volunteerism and public service.
 

You will have the opportunity to meet engineering alumni, current engineering students on work terms in Calgary, and special guests at this reception.
