Chemical Engineering and Nanotechnology Engineering Alumni Social

The Department of Chemical Engineering is pleased to invite chemical engineering and nanotechnology engineering alumni to a social gathering at Keenan’s Irish Pub in Milton. Many alumni have shared that they would like more opportunities to connect socially with their classmates and the department — and we’ve listened. This event is an opportunity to reconnect, share stories, and strengthen our alumni community in a casual setting.

Alumni are warmly invited to join professor Mario Ioannidis, chair, Department of Chemical Engineering, for an evening of conversation, connection, and camaraderie.

Registration is $15 per person (HST included). Light refreshments and one drink ticket are included in the ticket price; cash bar. Guests are welcome to attend.

Connect on LinkedIn by joining our private ChE alumni Group.

Please note:
There are no physical tickets needed to attend this event. Once your registration is completed, you will be added to the guest list. Please check in at the door when you arrive at the event location.

Mario Ioannidis is the chair of the Department of Chemical Engineering and a professor at the University of Waterloo.

Professor Ioannidis and his students research fundamental aspects of multiphase flow and transport of solutes and nanoparticles in porous materials of different kinds (fibrous or granular, loose or consolidated, natural or man-made, etc.). The ultimate goal of their research is to enable engineering applications ranging from contaminant hydrology, groundwater remediation and petroleum production to environmental sampling, fuel cell performance optimization and oil spill response.
