Waterloo Advanced Manufacturing Consortium (AMC) Fall 2019 Industry Day

Join your fellow Waterloo Engineering classmates for a casual evening of networking and catching up over light refreshments. In the spirit of the Kitchener-Waterloo German heritage and Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest tradition, we thought it fitting to host this event at an authentic German Biergarten, the Wirtshaus German Restaurant and Biergarten.
Biomedical Engineering's Capstone Design Symposium will showcase the latest biomedical innovations from final year Engineering students. Students will present and discuss their research from 1:00pm to 4:00pm with visual aids and tactile materials or prototypes to illustrate their research.
For more information on all the research projects that will be presented, please see the 2020 Systems Design Engineering Capstone Design Projects page and discover the symposium for yourself on March 12 in Engineering 7.

In order to mitigate the risks associated with the possible spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the format of the Faculty of Engineering’s Capstone Design Symposia are being modified on a department by department basis. Students are asked to connect directly with their Capstone coordinator for the most current updates.
External guests have been asked not to visit campus and are encouraged to instead check out the 2020 project abstracts and photos from previous events.
We encourage everyone on campus to take preventive measures such as avoiding shaking hands and touching your face along with frequent and thorough handwashing as outlined by Health Canada.
In a worldwide race to find solutions to the COVID-19 pandemic, Waterloo Engineering professors and alumni are working on engineering a variety of unique solutions. Join us for this virtual webinar to learn about vaccine development and the complexities involved, portable and rapid diagnostic testing, and innovative ways of using imaging for screening and diagnosis.
