The Council for Clean & Reliable Energy (CCRE) in partnership with the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy, a leading Canadian innovation centre at the University of Waterloo, is hosting its second annual Technology Innovation and Policy Forum on Thursday, November 9, 2017. Join us for this important event, bringing together policy makers, technology innovators, leading researchers, government experts and entrepreneurs.
In this talk Dr. Fayçal Saffih presents his implementations of intelligence on Silicon Photonics to realize smart CMOS Image sensors from System (chip) level, down to Circuit level and finally down to Device (semiconductor). All these bio-inspired implementations are intended to mimic biological intelligence of vision systems to answer the stringent imaging requirements in biomedical imaging, remote/wireless imaging and inspection and security imaging to name a few applications.
