Engineering Day 2019

Come show your spirit and get your purple on! 

The tradition continues on July 12, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm to celebrate Engineering Day with our incredible community of students, alumni, professors and staff. This year's activities will include a colour throw (wear a white t-shirt!), BBQ featuring the famous 'Boggan Burgers, free treats and refreshments including purple Koolaid as well as soft-serve ice cream and popcorn, a photo booth, The Tool and The Tool Bearers, and so much more!

Problem Pitch Competition open for applications

The Problem Lab presents the Quantum Valley Investments® Problem Pitch. The competition invites teams of up to four students to choose an important industry problem and thoroughly research its history, scope, and impact. Students pitch their findings to a panel of judges on July 11th to compete for a share of up to $30,000 in funding.

20-year Celebration of the Welding Specialization

All past and present members of the University of Waterloo Centre for Advanced Materials Joining are invited to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the Welding Specialization program and the 10-year anniversary of the Centre for Advanced Materials Joining. Guest speakers will look back on the history of the Welding Specialization, CAMJ, recent achievements, and look to the future of welding in Canada.
