Helen Mathews. MEng. PEng.
Helen has over 20+ years of engineering experience in electrical engineering consultancy, design of LV and MV power distribution, Motor Control Centres, and electrical power system analysis. Power system analysis includes short-circuit analysis, device evaluation, protective device coordination and arc-flash studies using SKM, ETAP and Easypower software. Performing power factor analysis and correction, load flow, harmonic modelling and analysis, developing protective relay settings for Generator and Transformer protection. As an engineering consultant, Helen prepared electrical specifications for projects in the Oil & Gas sector and others, specified engineering details such as cable routing, cable sizing, equipment layout, electrical room layout & sizing, cable trenching, prepared load analyses, single line diagrams, and relevant electrical equipment selection and sizing.
