Engineering Day

Celebrate Waterloo Engineering and The Tool

Come show your spirit and get your purple on!

The tradition continues on July 14, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm to celebrate Engineering Day with our incredible community of students, alumni, professors and staff. This year's activities will include a colour throw (wear a white t-shirt!), BBQ featuring the famous 'Boggan Burgers, free treats and refreshments, a photo booth, purpling, The Tool and The Tool Bearers, and so much more!

The Tool will make a special appearance on Engineering Day as it's The Tool's 50th Birthday this year! Special treats will be served and engineering alumnus Jim Pike (BASc 1969, Mechanical), who brought our engineering mascot to campus when he was the EngSoc president, will make a guest appearance.

Activities include:

  • Purple colour powder throw – wear a white shirt!
  • Ice cream truck, cupcakes, popcorn, and the famous ‘Boggan Burgers
  • Celebrate The Tool’s 50th Birthday with The Tool Bearers
  • Dunk Your Prof. Tank, inflatable games and a photo booth
  • And much more!
