Engineering students and alumni are invited to participate in an exclusive virtual Office Hour with engineering alumnus Paul-Michael Dekker (BASc '80), Professional Networker, Futurist, Systems Design Engineer and Entrepreneur!
During this Office Hour, join fellow University of Waterloo engineering alumni, students and referred guests for this virtual event to get advice/upgrades on your professional networking skills, grow your network by seeing/hearing about other people and their specialties, ask questions and get advice, and get to know Paul-Michael Dekker and some of the people, resources and tools he has experienced since 1980, while working on both local and global projects.
This week's Office Hour also features guest speaker Andrew Williams (BASc '89). Andrew Williams graduated in 1989 from the University of Waterloo’s Civil Engineering Program. He had spent all six work terms with IBM Canada Ltd and was hired on full time as a systems engineer upon graduation. In 1993, Andrew migrated to Jamaica, West Indies to take over the family business and spent the next 16 years as an entrepreneur: a hardware store, manufacturing plant, farm, real estate developer, FM radio station, and a supermarket.
