Seminar: Fraser Gibbs, co-founder and CTO of Eleven-X

He will introduce LPWAN technology, its uses and their recently announced Waterloo network. This session is intended to provide those interested with an introduction to eleven-x, a look at the network and technology, and to facilitate further collaboration.

  • Lower Power Wide Area Networking (LPWAN) is an explosive area in the Internet of Things and Waterloo has Canada’s first publicly available installation.   LPWANs are purpose build wireless networks designed to deliver sensor data to the cloud and be the conduit that enables the Big Data and Analytics.  
  • In the presentation, eleven-x provides an introduction to LPWAN technology, its uses and their Waterloo network.
  • Fraser is a 20-year veteran of the communications industry and helped bring wireless data to the world as Director of the wireless development team at BlackBerry.
