We will be announcing grants for some early-stage, high-potential ideas, and the Social Impact Fund winners will be sharing their stories.

Students and alumni are invited to participate in an exclusive Office Hour with engineering alumnus Omer Qadri (BASc '11, Electrical Engineering), Program Designer & Workshop Facilitator at the MAX Youth Fellowship Program.

This full day conference for first and upper year engineer students will showcase a variety of guest speakers and workshops focused on helping participants navigate through both student life and career preparation. From planning out your next four years in undergrad to learning what to expect when you enter the workforce, this conference will help you gain the skills and knowledge needed to achieve your goals with confidence.

Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy (WISE) invites you to Energy Day: a chance to meet and mingle with WISE researchers; connect the dots and get energized by talented young entrepreneurs and emerging leaders at the most innovative University in Canada; join academic, industry & government experts who have come together to share insights & new ideas for our energy future.

Learn about the emerging engineering field, synthetic biology at the 4th annual Synthetic Biology Symposium, SynBio 4.0. Training workshops, research talks, and a poster session will be held over two and a half days May 26-28th.

The Tsinghua-Waterloo Joint Forum on Advances in Energy and Environmental Technologies will bring together leading experts in the fields of sustainable energy management, novel energy production, biofuels, pollution mitigation, fuel cells, and next-generation rechargeable energy systems. 

All past and present members of the University of Waterloo Centre for Advanced Materials Joining are invited to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the Welding Specialization program and the 10-year anniversary of the Centre for Advanced Materials Joining. Guest speakers will look back on the history of the Welding Specialization, CAMJ, recent achievements, and look to the future of welding in Canada.
