International Autonomous Robot Racing Competition

Move over pokey Google self-driving cars, here comes a pack of robot cars racing around an outdoor track in a bid to see which one is the fastest. The race is the annual International Autonomous Robot Racing Competition (IARRC), hosted by the University of Waterloo.

This year's event will take place on a large track in the parking lot of Engineering 5. All races are open to the public and begin at 11 a.m. In case of rain, the main competition will be held in the Sedra Student Design Centre (Engineering 5) on Sunday, July 19.

Engineering Meet and Greet for New Exchange Students

The Faculty of Engineering will be hosting a Meet and Greet for all new exchange students to engineering.

It will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m., and will include important information about course enrolment and other matters specific to engineering exchange students.

Lunch will be provided.

The Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) presents a seminar entitled "Digital Microfluidics for Three Dimensional Cell Culture and Single-Cell Signaling Assays" by Dr. Aaron Wheeler, Canada Research Chair in Bioanalytical Chemistry and Chemistry Professor at the University of Toronto, Canada.
