Learn more about Waterloo's Master of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology (MBET) program by attending our live online information session. MBET is a one year graduate business degree designed to meet a market need for innovative thinkers. In MBET, students learn inside and outside the classroom. Core business courses are integrated with practical experience, networking, and hands-on learning in the most entrepreneurial community in Canada.
Girl Guides are invited to the University of Waterloo to earn their Computer Skills Badge! Complete all the requirements through fun and interactive activity stations led by university students and staff. In addition to completing the badge requirements, the guides will also engage with inspiring mentors who demystify the university experience and technology careers.

Description
California is entering its sixth year of drought. It’s clear that the old ways of coping with drought — overdraft of groundwater, stream depletion, and greater imports — will no longer meet the needs of the 21st Century. The solution to our challenge of urban water security will likely consist of a combination of demand management and the development of a portfolio of new water supplies.
Digital elevation models (DEMs) are a primary data input for many applications in spatial hydrology and geomorphology. DEMs are commonly used to delineate watersheds, to map landforms and soils, to analyze stream networks, and to model variable source areas, surface runoff and flooding, erosion, and contaminant migration. The past decades have been marked by significant improvements in the quality, spatial resolution, and availability of DEM data sources.

Join the Ecohydrology Research group at the University of Waterloo for our fifth celebration of World Wetlands Day. On this annual international day of significance, wetlands groups across the globe commemorate the February 2, 1971 adoption of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands.
WE Go.DEsign is a two day Engineering Design and Research Competition for women currently enrolled in grades 10 and 11 presented by the Goethe-Institut. The Grand Prize will be a language, engineering and culture trip to Germany during Summer 2017! There are two elements to the competition, a Research Symposium and a Design Challenge. Each element will be judged by Goethe-Institut and University of Waterloo faculty and staff, with prizes awarded in each element.
