Engineering Excellence MASc Fellowships (EEF-M)
The Faculty of Engineering is pleased to offer up to 50 Master’s of Applied Science (MASc) Fellowships for top Canadian/Permanent Resident students.
These Fellowships are valued at up to $50,000 (paid over 2 years) and can be held in any research area within the Faculty of Engineering.
How to be considered
There is no separate application process for MASc Fellowships or the entrance awards. Eligible applicants will automatically be considered and students will be notified in their offer letter.
In addition to the fellowships, the Faculty of Engineering also offers Dean's Entrance Awards (DEA), valued at $5,000, to highly qualified domestic applicants.
Tri-Agency (NSERC, CIHR, and SSHRC) CGS-M award recipients will receive the President’s Graduate Scholarship top-up, valued in the Faculty of Engineering at $10,000 for the year you hold the award. $5,000 is coming from the University of Waterloo and $5,000 from the Faculty of Engineering. Top students will also receive the $5,000 Dean's Entrance Award. Tri-Agency CGS-M award recipients will receive funding up to $32,500 in your first year, and guaranteed funding in your second year: either the MASc Fellowship or the minimum funding mentioned below.
All full-time MASc applicants to whom an offer is made will receive minimum financial support of $36,000 (paid over 2 years).
