Celebrating milestones at Faculty Commencement Day

Faculty Commencement Day

Waterloo Engineering hosted its second annual Faculty Commencement Day on April 14 to celebrate significant academic milestones in the careers of faculty members.

Hosted by Dean Mary Wells in Engineering 7, the event recognized faculty members who have received tenure, been promoted to associate professor and full professor, and advanced from lecturer to continuing lecturer.

New faculty members, who bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm, novel research focuses and the potential for future achievements, were also welcomed into the Waterloo Engineering community.

Dr. Paul Fieguth, a systems design engineering professor, spoke at the special event about his academic career and offered advice from his experiences as a faculty member, chair and associate dean.
