This program will explore music that focuses around the great spirituals, tracing the relationship of the genre from African song and Christian hymnody to the great choral spirituals and beyond to Jazz and Gospel.

This summer, Grebel marks 50 years since it began its journey in 1963 of seeking wisdom, nurturing faith, and pursuing peace and justice. To celebrate that, we have been working hard to plan our biggest reunion weekend yet.

The event will feature interactive family fun showcasing student life, followed by a BBQ chicken dinner (donations appreciated) and square dance. The event will run from 2:00pm - 9:00pm.
Conrad Grebel University College, is holding its Annual General Meeting in the Great Hall. The community is welcome to attend and learn about the activity at Grebel this past year.
The Institute for Worship and the Arts of Conrad Grebel University College presents a morning with John Bell of the Iona Community. John will present a workshop called “Doing Worship Differently: renewing congregational worship at the grass-roots level” on Saturday, October 5 in the CGUC Chapel.
