3 Minutes Thesis (3MT) finalists from across 6 University of Waterloo faculties will compete to win money and advance to the 3MT Provincial Finals!
Competitors will have 1 static slide and 3 minutes to present the breadth and significance of their graduate research to a non-specialist panel of judges.

The final of the 2015-16 Water Institute WaterTalks lecturers is Dr. Prabhakar Clement, Harold Vince Groome Professor of Environmental Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Auburn University.
University of Waterloo Systems Design Engineering Professor John McPhee, who is the NSERC/Toyota/Maplesoft Industrial Research Chair, will provide the keynote address. He will be sharing details of his current research work.

Omer Arbel explores the intrinsic mechanical, physical, and chemical qualities of materials as fundamental departure points for making work. His interdisciplinary practice spans multiple scales and cultural-economic contexts to include architecture, industrial design, materials research, sculpture, invention, and high craft manufacturing. Arbel’s work has been exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Spazio Rossana Orlandi, Mallett, and the Monte Clark Gallery, among others.
