Sales Manager (Canada), Collins Aerospace
Recruiter & Training Camp Guest Coach, Football, Waterloo Warriors

Biography

Benoît Drouin moved to Waterloo from Montréal in 1989 to start his engineering degree after completing high school/cegep en français – this was his first time attending school in English. He successfully completed his bachelor’s degree from mechanical engineering with a management sciences option in 1994. While at Waterloo, he played football for the Warriors, starting for 5 years, made the OUA all-star three times and was voted a team captain in 1993. He played for Canadian Football Hall of Fame coach Tuffy Knight, and for the late great coaches Chuck McMann and Chris Triantafilou.

Following graduation from Waterloo, Benoît headed to the “other school” down the street, where he graduated with an MBA in 1995. After graduating business school, Benoît moved back to his native Montréal where he began his career in technical sales, where he sold electro-mechanical components for 5 years, before joining the then BF Goodrich company.

For the past 22 years, through numerous mergers and acquisitions/consolidations, he has been selling aircraft sensors and avionics equipment (what pilots use to fly the plane) to the Canadian aerospace and defence industry for what is now Collins Aerospace, the largest aerospace company in the world. And, since 2018, Benoît has again been involved with Warrior football, as a training camp guest coach, video analyst and recruiter for the province of Québec.
