Several Waterloo Engineering faculty and staff were recognized for their outstanding contributions last night at the annual Engineering Awards Dinner.
Hosted by Dean Mary Wells, the event celebrated 19 award recipients for their teaching, research and service excellence, while also highlighting prestigious regional, national and international awards won by Engineering faculty and staff, highlighting the impact of the work done by Waterloo-based educators and researchers over the past year.
“To tonight’s honorees, congratulations on your well-deserved recognition,” said Dean Wells. "We can't thank you enough for the work you do to make Waterloo Engineering a global leader in innovation, collaboration, and excellence.”
The recipients of the 2024 Faculty of Engineering awards this year are the following:

- Dr. Arash Arami - Faculty Research Excellence Award
- Graeme Adair - Outstanding Staff Performance Award
- Dr. Janet Boekhorst - Faculty Teaching Excellence Award
- Ryan Consell - Pearl Sullivan Outstanding Staff Teaching Award
- Victoria Cotton - Outstanding Staff Performance Award
- Dr. Dan Davison - Faculty Service Excellence Award
- Dave Dietz - Outstanding Staff Performance Award
- Dr. Nadine Ibrahim - Faculty Teaching Excellence Award
