Together with the Grand Philharmonic Choir and the KW Symphony, the UW Chamber Choir will perform Bach's St. Matthew Passion at the Centre in the Square.  First performed in Leipzig on Good Friday in 1727, the St. Matthew Passion is widely regarded as one of the masterpieces of sacred classical music.  This Good Friday performance has become a cherished tradition in Waterloo Region.  Mark Vuorinen is both the director of the UW Chamber Choir and the Grand Philharmonic Choir.

Each Instrumental Chamber Ensemble consists of two to seven players, playing selected pieces from great composers.  Sometimes we have classical guitars or brass groups, but the most common grouping is stringed instruments with a piano accompaniment.

We have the Schubert String Quartet No. 14 "Death and the Maiden", Brahms clarinet trio op. 114, Boccherini piano quintet No. 6 "The Night Watch in Madrid" and Florent Schmitt's Sonatine en trio.

Come join us for a delightful Sunday evening concert, with delicious Grebel refreshments to follow.
