Yasmin SaikiaDr. Yasmin Saikia is the Hardt-Nickachos Chair in Peace Studies and Professor of History at the Center for the Study of Religion and Conflict at Arizona State University. Her recent book Women, War and the Making of Bangladesh: Remembering 1971 (2011) has won numerous awards and been the subject of an international speaking tour.

The University of Waterloo Department of Music presents a Music Symposium to all students (current and prospective), staff, faculty and members of the community. The department has invited Dr. Joshua D. Pilzer and Dr. Trichy Sankaran to give a keynote presentation and a lecture demonstration.
