The UWaterloo Jazz Ensemble will perform a selection of jazz classics, embracing the music of Neal Hefti, Joe Zawinel, Jim McGrath and more.... 

 The Jazz Ensemble is directed by Michael Wood, a well-known vibist who performed at the Stratford Festival for many years.

Ben Bolt-MartinThe Instrumental Chamber Ensembles consist of 3 to 4 student musicians, usually string trios or a brass group. They are directed by Ben Bolt-Martin, a well known local cellist who also plays at the Stratford Festival.

University Choir Concert: Island Music

Geographers, anthropologists, and sociologists study islands as unique environmental and cultural systems. This term we will study and present some of the world’s most unique music from island cultures around the world. We will be performing musics from well-known Island cultures such as Hawaii, New Zealand, and Jamaica while exploring lesser-known musics from isles of Asia, the South Pacific, Europe, and North America. The final concert will also feature dance and images.

Sarah Marie Kramer, sopranoPresenting Lieder written by composers who lived and worked throughout the Romantic period of the Imperial city of Vienna. Sarah Marie Kramer, soprano and pianist Carl Philippe Gionet present works for the dramatic soprano. Composers such as Brahms, R. Strauss, Wagner, and Dvorak will be featured.
