The University of Waterloo Department of Music at Conrad Grebel University College invites all students, faculty, staff, and community members to join most of the eight ensembles that it sponsors and organizes.

Instrumental: Instrumental Chamber Ensemble; Orchestra; Jazz Ensemble; World Music Ensemble (Balinese Gamelan)

Pop-up Peace Museum

“Pop-up” Peace Museum – Presented by the students of PACS 203/HIST 232 (A History of Peace Movements), the Pop-up Peace Museum features 14 exhibits highlighting a wide range of peace and justice movements from the 20th and 21st centuries. Come and visit on Monday, March 25 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm in Room #2202 at Conrad Grebel University College (directly across from Grebel’s front reception desk).

Spring 2019 Ensemble auditions are open for registration. See Ensemble page for details. 
In Spring term we offer the Balinese Gamelan, Instrumental Chamber groups, orchestra@uwaterloo, and the University Choir.
The orchestra needs 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, & 2 bassoons
4 horns, 2 trumpets, 3 trombones, and a tuba
Timpani, percussion, harp, and strings.

Instrumental ensembles

Auditions are open for Fall 2019 Instrumental Ensembles.  You may take these for credit (.25 units on top of regular course load) or as an extracurricular activity.  Ensembles are open to all University of Waterloo students.
