Sessional Instructor Position

Conrad Grebel University College is seeking an instructor for PACS 201: Roots of Conflict, Violence and Peace during the Winter 2025. The fully designed, asynchronous course is offered through the Centre for Extended Learning (CEL).

In addition to managing the course and communicating with students, instructors will mark all assignments including discussion posts, short papers, and final essays.

Candidates should submit the following materials to be considered for the position:

  • A letter of application that details your interest in and suitability for teaching this course (letters addressed to Dr. Reina Neufeldt, Chair, Peace and Conflict Studies)
  • A curriculum vitae with contact information; and
  • If the candidate has not previously taught at Conrad Grebel, evidence of positive teaching performance, such as teaching evaluations, letters of recommendation, statement of teaching philosophy, and previous syllabi where applicable.

Please note that candidates who have not previously taught at Conrad Grebel University College may be asked to supply letters of reference or give permission for the Employer to contact referees by telephone or email.

Preferred instructors will have teaching experience and a PhD, however those with master's degrees will be considered.
