In addition to completing the badge requirements, the guides will also engage with inspiring mentors who demystify the university experience and engineering careers.

The 2014 Toyota Electric Vehicle Challenge demands high school students design and build their own electric car. Abstract: Mihaela Vlasea, a researcher at the University of Waterloo’s Multi-Scale Additive Manufacturing Laboratory, has developed a new additive manufacturing system capable of producing parts ranging from bone and dental implants to lightweight porous materials. She will speak about the incredible advances taking place in additive manufacturing and some of the opportunities emerging in this field.
