In this special 60th anniversary year, University of Waterloo alumni are invited to attend the TEDxUW 2017 Conference – Defying Conventions.

This year, speakers will draw from their experiences in the realms of social impact, business and technology, environment and sustainability, and the arts to bring you talks that will provoke and challenge you to think outside of the box.

The University of Waterloo is proud to host the FIRST LEGO League West Ontario Provincials on Sunday, January 28^th 2018.

This presentation will identify Canadian Net Zero homes of today and provide insight into the future. Areas discussed will include findings and lessons learned pertaining to both the building envelope and mechanical design. The presenter will discuss the requirements of the Canadian Home Builder Associations Net Zero program and give an overview of specific Net Zero projects the Building Knowledge team has assisted and designed.

Chemical Engineering student explains his capstone project

Alumni, students, employers, industry partners, media, and members of the general public are invited to join us on campus from March 12-23, 2018 to experience Waterloo Engineering's Capstone Design symposia.

The Operations Research Challenge (TORCH) is a free, one-day contest designed to introduce high school students to Operations Research, a field that tackles many of today's complex decision-making problems through the use of engineering, computer science, and mathematics.

TORCH 2018 will be held on March 17, 2018 at the University of Waterloo with over $1000 in prizes.

Join us for the FIRST Robotics Waterloo Regional Competition hosted at the University of Waterloo in the Physical Activities Complex. Thirty-two high-school teams from across Ontario and the USA will converge on the University of Waterloo for the two-day competition, where they will demonstrate their robot in this year's challenge, FIRST Power Up.

Engineering Outreach Eventy

Engineering Explorations is an open house event organized by the Engineering Outreach Office. Explorations is an opportunity to come and discover Waterloo Engineering and get hands-on with family focused engineering activities geared toward Gr. 1-8 students.

Join us at this information session with WISE and AE4H to learn how you can make the most of your co-op term as an International Queen Elizabeth Scholar for Energy Access! Be featured as a pioneer working for this exciting new program at one of the many institutions bringing energy access to people around the globe. We are looking for dedicated students interested in making real-world change.
