Global Mennonite Peacebuilding Conference and Festival

The Conrad Grebel University College community hosted a diverse group of academics, practitioners, artists, and church workers at the Global Mennonite Peacebuilding Conference and Festival, June 9-12 in 2016. Involving at least 130 people from more than 18 countries, over 80 proposals for workshops, panels, papers, and art exhibits were accepted.

After the conference, the committee produced a learning document that gathered together insights, observations and reflections from the Global Mennonite Peacebuilding Conference & Festival. Content was drawn from notes taken by volunteer notetakers, the listening team and conversation café team members. The document quilts together ideas and motifs made visible through discussions, presentations, artistic works and events in an effort to support broader learning from the conference about Anabaptist/Mennonite peacebuilding.
