This summer, a celebration of hymnody will collide with the 500th anniversary of the reformation at “Now Thank We All Our God: Celebrating Congregational Song since the Reformation.” The Hymn Society in the United States and Canada encourages, promotes, and enlivens congregational singing as an integral component of worship. The group will hold its annual conference at Grebel this summer, July 16-20, drawing hundreds of hymn aficionados. With at least 36 different workshops and 5 free hymn festivals that are open to the public, there will be many ways to experience the incredible variety of music amidst scholars, students, musicians, composers, and congregational leaders.
