“Table Talk: Does the Church Still Have Legs?” will examine what it means to be the church and the role of worship. The conference will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, through Zoom, a virtual-meeting platform.
This past Spring, Grebel postponed its Convocation Celebration to the Fall. We hoped that the Fall event could be in-person, but unfortunately we are still unable to hold large gatherings. I'm sorry that we cannot celebrate graduation face-to-face.
The #MeToo movement has placed sexual violence in the spotlight and Mennonites are asking; “What does it mean to be people of peace when sexual abuse and assault is woven into the fabric of our own communities?” Through a survey of church periodicals, I will show that some Mennonites have been working on this topic for almost fifty years.
