Fast Feedback Day
Deadline to apply to pitch is: June 30, 2016. Registration is now closed.
Fast Feedback Day – An open forum where teams present their ideas for fast feedback from a panel of experts. At this stage, teams will learn whether they are ready to take their idea to the next stage of mentoring and/or to apply to incubators.
Waterloo Engineering and Spectrum 28, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm, are collaborating on an entrepreneurship program that will see senior students and faculty receive early-stage venture support through pop up classes, mentorship and access to a $2 million venture capital fund.
Hosted by Waterloo Engineering, the Waterloo Electric Vehicle (EV) Challenge encourages students to design and test their own electric car in an annual endurance competition. This years competition is scheduled for May 28, 2016. More than a dozen teams from around Ontario will attend this year's event.

Fifteen outstanding design projects, short-listed from over 40 applicants representing all engineering departments, will be chosen to compete for $60,000 in funding. The Esch Awards support creative and entrepreneurial students in the pursuit of research and development and its commercialization for the benefit of Canada.
The Sedra People's Choice Award
Join us for the FIRST Robotics Competition, Waterloo Regional, hosted at the University of Waterloo in the Physical Activities Complex. Thirty-two high-school teams from across Ontario and the US will converge on the University of Waterloo for the three-day competition, where they will demonstrate their robot in this year's challenge, FIRST Stronghold.
The event is open to the public and admittance is free. Final rounds will occur on Saturday afternoon.
With a focus on aging research, SoAR is a one-day meeting for engaging with graduate student research beyond disciplinary and professional boundaries, and across areas of expertise. SoAR encourages graduate students from any discipline to present, dialogue, and learn about current research on processes, experiences, and systems related to aging.
