Navigating to the Next Normal: Challenges and Opportunities for the Church in Canada
You are invited to join leading thinkers, clergy and others to creatively engage with issues facing the Church in Canada.
Many of us have been thinking about new church trends for a long time. In 2011 the Congregational Leadership Program at Grebel hosted a day of conversation on Leading the Church in a Post-Christian, Postmodern World. At that time, we did not anticipate a global pandemic. Now, as churches emerge from major societal disruption, how has the conversation regarding the future of the Canadian church changed? How do we attend to the key challenges of our time? What opportunities are before us?
Join Betty Pries, Derek Suderman and Paul Okoye in a day of instruction and dialogue, as they share:
- current research and experience reviewing the church and societal landscape.
- what we learn from studying scripture.
- consider the value of creating communities of belonging
- opportunities for small group discussions and a time to address where we might go from here.
