"There are many winding streets and it is easy to get lost, so we navigate by markers, mine being a small square and a market. There are 5 different ways to the square and 6 ways from the square to the market and 3 ways from the market to the UW building. How many interesting ways to get to work?" - Professor Conrad Hewitt (probability instructor)
Pizza place near the University of Waterloo campus in Rome.
"Each segment has two or three small Vincenzo style places which are terribly tempting with their promise of tasty morsels, hams and cheeses galore and cheap Prosecco by the case. It is just marvelous to wander these streets." - Professor Conrad Hewitt
Teaching a smaller class was very rewarding. Our time together extended far beyond the classroom; group dinners, train/bus trips, visits to museums and even attending a play. I enjoyed planning and travelling to different cities with our students. It was nice to get to know each and every student on a personal basis.
