Karl Zhu, a double degree student in computer science and business, was awarded a prestigious medal to recognize his ongoing efforts as a volunteer.
The Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers is an annual award that recognizes exceptional dedication to community service.
Zhu has been involved in several university-affiliated organizations as a volunteer, including work with the Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association (WUSA). He has also worked on initiatives linked with computer science and hackathons, helping to being coding and tech skills to the community.
