Why did you choose to study at Waterloo?

University of Waterloo is one of the best universities in the world, with an outstanding Faculty of Mathematics. So when I decided to study statistics after high school, Waterloo was an obvious choice.

What is the best thing about being a Math Faculty Ambassador?

As a part of the Math Faculty Ambassador Program I get the opportunity to share my experiences with incoming and first year students. I also enjoy meeting with people and making new friends from all walks of life.

Has anyone played an influential role in your life during your time at Waterloo?

I have been greatly influenced by Professor Hadi Hosseini and Gayle Goodfellow in the time I've spent at Waterloo.

Professor Hosseini teaches CS 234: Data Types and Structures, and I really loved his unique teaching style and his great sense of humor.

Gayle Goodfellow, who manages the Math Faculty Ambassador Program is very friendly and kind, and I love discussing movies and food with her. She is always smiling and I think that is an admirable quality.

What do you do on weekends?

I plan and run cooking classes, read books, and go swimming.

What is an interesting elective that you've taken?

I took an elective called ENG 108A: The Superhero, in which students were asked to write and design superheroes' back stories. That was a very interesting and creative course.
