Event Info

This month we will be discussing a classic of the Harlem Renaissance, Their Eyes Were Watching God by Nora Zeale Hurston.  The book was initially dismissed by critics and ignored when it was released in 1937 and was out of print for over 30 years before being rediscovered and reprinted in the late 1970s.  It has since gone on to be hailed as one of the most important novels of the 20th century.

We will have a couple of extra copies at the front desk of the Dean's Office (MC 5203)if you would like to borrow a hard copy, but the book is in the public domain so you there are also free online versions.
