Join us for a free screening of The Wedding Banquet, directed by Ang Lee. It is a romantic comedy about a young gay Taiwanese man who agrees to a marriage to placate his parents. Hijinks ensue when his parents arrive in the US to plan his wedding banquet.
The Wedding Banquet won the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival in 1993 and it was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language film. It was the most profitable movie of 1993 and launched the Hollywood career of Ang Lee.
