Canada's first and largest beginner-focused hackathon.

StarterHacks has this year partnered with Waterloo’s Faculty of Mathematics to welcome over 1,000 high school and university students to participate in Canada’s largest beginner-focussed hackathon. The students will have 24 hours to create something amazing to solve a real-world problem, all while learning more about technology.

StarterHacks is an equitable hackathon comprising of equal gender distribution. In addition to competing, the participants will have the opportunity to increase their development, design and business skills through workshops.
