The Faculty of Mathematics is holding a virtual workshop on writing a research proposal for NSERC applications. The 2020 Fields Medal Symposium will honour Alessio Figalli (ETH Zürich) who was awarded a Fields Medal in 2018 for "contributions to the theory of optimal transport and its applications in partial differential equations, metric geometry and probability". Hosted by the Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences, the Fields Medal Symposium is held each year to celebrate a recent medallist.
