Fourteen exceptional students have been chosen to represent the graduating class of 2023. Three of them are from the Faculty of Mathematics.
Carolyn Wang (BMath '23) got involved in a lot of different campus opportunities during her time at Waterloo. She volunteered for MathSoc before becoming vice-president of internal relations, served as an orientation leader, and was a member of the Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association Access and Disability committee.
Vincent Macri (BMath '23) knew since high school that Waterloo was where he wanted to study mathematics. He is graduating with a Bachelor of Mathematics - a double major in Pure Math and Combinatorics and Optimization - and will be attending the University of Calgary this fall to pursue a master's degree.
Advitya Chhabra (BSE '23) was interested in Waterloo because of the hands-on experience the co-operative education program offers, as well as the Velocity Incubator. He is graduating with a Bachelor of Software Engineering and will be working as a software engineer in New York for a financial services company.
