Welcome summer IELAS students

The annual summer Intensive English Language for Academic Studies (IELAS) program begins this week. 42 University of Waterloo Mathematics and Computer Science students are taking this summer language program. Many of them are staying on-campus in the residences this summer.

This eight-week program, taught at the Conestoga College Waterloo campus at 108 University Avenue East, is for students who have been conditionally accepted into the Waterloo Faculty of Mathematics and who meet certain language criteria. Once they successfully complete the program of courses in academic writing, pronunciation, reading comprehension, and listening and speaking, they may begin full-time studies in a regular honours Mathematics program.
