PhD student Xiang Fang received the best graphics poster award at Graphics Interface 2019, the 45thInternational Conference on Graphics, Visualization and Human-computer Interaction.
Xiang’s poster, titled “Parametric Interpolation Scheme Based on Boundary Blending,” explored a scattered data problem in graphics — specifically, if given a triangular mesh of vertices, how do you construct a smooth surface to interpolate the vertices and interpolate the first order derivatives.
