Queer Film Series - Portrait of a Lady on Fire

Romance, drama, great costumes, beautiful scenery, stirring performances.  What more could you want? Romance tropes?  It's got those too!  Slow burn (pardon the pun), artist and muse, yearning, forbidden love.  Pick your poison. 

Written and directed by Céline Sciamma and starring Noémie Merlant and Adèle Haenel, this 2019 film won the Queer Palm and best screenplay awards at Cannes and was ranked #30 on Sight and Sound's list of greatest movies ever made. 

The Queer Film Series is open to everyone on campus and the screenings are free but registraton is required.  

Popcorn will be served!
