StarterHacks

Canada's first and largest beginner-focused hackathon.

StarterHacks has this year partnered with Waterloo’s Faculty of Mathematics to welcome over 1,000 high school and university students to participate in Canada’s largest beginner-focussed hackathon. The students will have 24 hours to create something amazing to solve a real-world problem, all while learning more about technology.

Undergraduate students are encourgaed to partipate in the 2021 Datafest hosted by the American Statistical Association (ASA) and the University of Waterloo's department of statistics and actuarial science. 

DataFest is a celebration of data in which teams of undergraduates work around the clock to find and share meaning in a large, rich, and complex data set.
