Why Waterloo?
I chose Waterloo because of its reputation with Mathematics and its co-op opportunities. As the only university in Canada with a dedicate Mathematics faculty and the university with the largest co-op program in the entire world, I knew that University of Waterloo was the best choice for me.
Advice for first-year students
My advice is simple: work hard and play hard. The first year of university is difficult, but with determination and motivation, anyone can succeed. But while getting good grades is very important, it is also important to enjoy your time at university. Try to join a group (like the a cappella club!) and try to make new friends. School isn't all about work. University is said to be the best four years of your life, so make the most of it.
