Role and responsibilities:

Gathers data, conducts analyses and prepares strategic proposals in support of major grant competitions.

Role and responsibilities:

Directs and implements student engagement initiatives that contribute to a positive experience for Engineering undergraduate students; mentors student leaders and encourages and facilitates the participation of all undergraduate Engineering students in extra-curricular activities.

Role and responsibilities:

Provides administrative support to the Engineering Advancement team by booking calls, setting up meetings and ordering catering, performing Raisers Edge research, and Alumni event registrations.

Completes writing and creative projects for the Dean and the Advancement team including proposals, some speechwriting, external messaging, advertisements, and special projects.

Role and Responsibilities:  

• market, promote and recruit the best graduate students and professionals from across Canada and Internationally for the Faculty of Engineering’s graduate studies programs. As part of the Marketing and Communications team, to deliver on the applicant requirements of the Engineering Graduate Studies Office (EGSO). Accountable for planning, project managing, implementing, evaluating, and reporting on marketing, communications, and recruitment initiatives to inspire future graduate students and support them in the admissions and onboarding process. This role is fully supported by the Faculty of Engineering’s Marketing and Communications team in the development of content to integrate and leverage strategic plans and communications initiatives for the Faculty. The role also closely collaborate with the Graduate Studies and Post-Doctoral Affairs (GSPA), and their cross-campus peers.

Role and responsibilities:

The Administrative Assistant to the Associate Dean, Research and External Partnerships (ADR) is the front-line liaison for all internal and external contacts to the Engineering Research Office (ERO), and provides primary administrative and financial support to the ADR. The Administrative Assistant assists the ADR in growing research funding in the Faculty of Engineering, serving three vital functions in this capacity: 1) Supporting the preparation and submission of research funding applications; 2) Planning, coordination, and execution of outreach activities that connect engineering researchers with potential industry and government partners and promote engineering research; and 3) Developing and continuously updating tracking systems to monitor shared infrastructure across departments.

William has been appointed as native Elder for the School of Architecture and the Faculty of Engineering. Bill advises and counsels students and staff from native grounding. In this role he also lectures.

Oversees Faculty financial processes, systems and internal controls for all funds, collaborating with other Faculties and Central Support units, and managing staff, training, and communications related to the areas of accounting, financial reporting and compliance.
