- Evaluating Current Practices and Faculty Adoption of Real-Time Accessibility Tools in STEM Education
This project investigates how accessibility is currently implemented in STEM teaching at UWaterloo and identifies gaps between accessible tools and accessible teaching methods by focusing on real-time accessible pedagogy.
This project explores an aspect of teaching that is often neglected in the literature yet presents a growing concern for instructors: the rise in administrative responsibilities and the associated increase in teaching-related workloads.
Building on an existing AI career persistence project, we will categorize and address misconceptions in students’ perceptions of what “counts” as an AI career, noting patterns across demographic groups.
This project seeks to identify ‘pedagogical well-being’ approaches through the development of two surveys (one for students and one for instructors), examining well-being strategies in classroom environments across the Arts First program.
This project assesses the impact of writing assignments that demand students imagine an audience beyond their instructor.
