Funded LITE Grant Projects: Fall 2026
This project provides students in six STEM courses at UWaterloo access to Axiom, a GenAI platform that houses AI learning agents. Each agent is tailored to a specific instructional activity and constrained by prompts that provide pedagogical guardrails and prioritise course materials.
This project investigates how student wellbeing, belonging, and connection can support deeper learning through facilitating 3-5 co-design workshops for student-instructor teams from different programs across UWaterloo.
This project investigates the implementation of guided GenAI-supported reflective learning in Mechanics activities to improve student engagement, conceptual understanding, and responsible use of artificial intelligence in engineering education.
This project models the traditional Oxford tutorial experience—where a student meets one-on-one with a tutor to explore a course topic—in Introductory Cell Biology using Chrysalis, a UWaterloo-developed LLM companion.
This project examines how a structured approach to reflection supports students’ development of critical reflective practice as part of a course-level WIL experience.
